we use pic16f877 which is interfaced to max sonar ez1 sensor which is used for range measurement. ez1 gives 3 types of output i.e., digital, analog and pulse width modulated(pwm) depending on the distance of the object encountered. this is received by the pic and the distance is displayed on a 16x2 character lcd
