The main objective of the project rs485 based data acquisition system using microcontroller is to measure the temperature, light intensity ,pressure and humidity at remote place and draw a graph (temperature or light intensity vs time)and store the result in P.C. for further analysis and uses Rs485 for the communication between the external sensors and personal computer.

use thermisters like LM34 or LM35 for getting temparature range. i don't think you need to follow any communication standared like RS485 to transfer data between sensors but with PC you need it..use MAX485 or HIN485 to make the micro controller suitable for communication in that standard Rex
