To incorporate a fingerprint sensing device and processor into the driver side door of a vehicle. An authorized user then simply puts his/her finger in the sensor to initiate a timing cycle. Upon authorization the user will have a certain amount of time to enter and start the vehicle. In our prototype we simulate this by having our system enable and disable the remote control of a toy car. An authorized user places his/her finger on the sensor and starts a timing cycle. Our timer will then time from a minimum of 18 seconds to a maximum of 3 minutes and 10 seconds to enable the remote.
